Home About Us Our Staff Dr. Gordon D. Booth
Gordon holds both M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in statistics from Iowa State
University. For over 39 years, he has had broad experience in the application
of statistics to many varied types of problems. During these years he has
worked in medicine (both human and animal), microbiology, physiology,
immunology, physics, chemistry, engineering, quality, legal issues, surveys of
many types (customer satisfaction, perception, etc.), statistical process
control, product and process improvement through designed experiments,
reliability and warranty establishment, market research, and a variety of other
quality-related areas.
Dr. Booth has been active for over 35 years in training many diverse groups. He
has presented workshops and seminars throughout the U.S. and abroad. His
presentations have covered a wide variety of subjects, including: Six Sigma,
Design of Experiments, statistical methods, sample surveys, market research,
epidemiology, environmental statistics, process improvement, quality
engineering, technical aspects of quality, and quality management.
Dr. Booth has published over 80 technical and scientific publications and is a
co-developer of the FACETM troubleshooting methodology.
Throughout his career, Gordon has worked with government agencies both as a
consultant and in the establishment of compliance to regulations. He has dealt
with the Environmental Protection Agency, the Agricultural Marketing Service,
and the Food and Drug Administration. While working with the Veterinary
Biologics Division of the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, he was instrumental in
establishing compliance standards for biologics.
Dr. Booth is currently a Principal Consultant with Booth Associates and is a Six
Sigma Master Black Belt. He has received certification from the American
Society for Quality as a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) and as a
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE). He is a Senior Member of the American Society
for Quality and a charter member of the ASQ Six Sigma Forum.
